When to seek urgent medical advice
Sudden hearing loss, tinnitus after head injury, facial weakness or severe new vertigo require urgent assessment rather than routine wax treatment. Tinnitus in time with your pulse also needs prompt medical advice. See the NHS tinnitus guidance or use NHS 111 as appropriate. In a medical emergency call 999.
